Torque Rheometer can study the dispersion properties, flow behavior and structural changes (crosslinking, thermal stability, etc.) of materials during processing, and can also provide experimental guidance for production quality control

1.Boot steps




1. Select the installation platform (mixer or extruder) according to the type or purpose of the experiment. Connect the heat sensor and heating power interface.




2. Turn on the main power supply and turn on the computer. Run the rheometer control platform software and select the correct experimental platform.




3. Check or deselect the corresponding measurement and control. For the mixer platform, T1, T2, T3, Tm, Tq and Sp should be selected and T4 P should be cancelled. For the extruder of capillary die, all 8 options need to be selected.




4. Click the "Start Communication" button to start communication and set the experimental temperature and output speed. For the mixer platform, the correct temperature Settings should be the same for all three zones. For the extruder platform, the temperature in the four zones should be set from low to high, and the temperature difference between each zone should be limited to less than 30℃ as far as possible, otherwise it may be difficult for the rheometer to control the temperature smoothly.




5. After setting the value, click the "Start heating" button to make the rheometer start heating.




6. When the rheometer is heated to the set temperature and becomes stable, click the "Start motor" button to start the motor. 7. When the temperature of the rheometer reaches the set value and remains stable for 10min, the output speed of the motor also reaches the set value and remains stable. At this time, the experimental operation can be started.




2. shutdown steps




1. Shutdown steps of rheometer should stop motor, heating, communication, control program, rheometer power source and computer in turn.




2. Do a good job of cleaning after the completion of the test. The mixer disassembles and removes the material in the chamber with the motor stopped. Some materials that may corrode the extruder cavity are cleaned with pure resin after the experiment.

Precautions 




1. When installing the experimental platform, attention should be paid to the connection sequence of the heat sensor and the heating power supply interface. The wrong connection sequence will lead to incorrect temperature control.




2. When the temperature of a region of the mixer or extruder is more than 10℃ lower than the set temperature, the residual material in the equipment may not be completely melted, and the rotating motor may damage the equipment at this time. The temperature and output speed of the motor must reach the set value and have been stable before the experimental operation can be started.




3. The mixing device shall be cleaned after each experiment, and the rotor in the mixing device shall not be reversed; R to R. L to L. Remember to turn off the power.




4, after the end of the experiment, add a small amount of lubricant, and then remove the cleaning mixer
