Multi-Layer Co-Extrusion Casting Line

As functional films evolve toward multi-layer and high-performance structures, they have become core basic materials for new energy, electronic displays, packaging and other industries. POTOP multi-Layer co-extrusion casting line consists of three precision single-screw extruders, casting die, casting system, haul-off system, winding system, measurement and control system, etc.

This equipment adopts a dry forming process: plastic raw materials are directly melted and plasticized by heating, then compounded inside the die head without using any solvent, making it environmentally friendly and highly efficient. Composed of multiple precision single-screw extruders, screen changer system, melt pump, multi-layer distributor & co-extrusion die, precision casting unit and SIEMENS PLC electric control system, it realizes one-step forming from raw materials to finished films.


Modular Design for Multi-Layer Structure Requirements Extruder Combinations:

  • Single-screw extruders with diameters of Φ20mm, Φ25mm, Φ30mm, Φ35mm and other specifications are available.

  • Customizable Layers: Standard configurations support 2-layer, 3-layer, 5-layer and even 7-layer co-extrusion processes. For example, distributors with “A/B/A” or “A/B” structures can easily produce symmetric or asymmetric functional films.

  • Wide Material Compatibility: Suitable for general plastics such as PE, PP, PS; engineering plastics such as PC, PET, PMMA; and biodegradable materials such as PLA and PBAT.

  • Tailor-Made Solutions: The number of layers, film width and process parameters can be customized according to customer requirements. It is ideal for R&D of conventional products such as barrier films and packaging films, as well as high-end films for new energy applications and flexible OLED supporting materials.

Pressure & Rotation Speed Each roller group is independently driven by a servo motor, ensuring precise speed control and excellent synchronization. The linear speed of the casting roller is infinitely adjustable from 0 to 10 m/min.


Temperature Control Accuracy

Combining multi-zone temperature control of the extruder and internal flow channel design of the casting roller, the operating temperature can reach up to 350℃ with a control accuracy of ±1℃, guaranteeing stable thermal performance throughout the entire process from melting to film forming.

PEN Biaxial Stretching Tester

PEN (Polyethylene Naphthalate) film has become a core material in flexible electronics, high-end packaging and other fields due to its high heat resistance, strong mechanical strength and excellent barrier properties. Its rigid molecular chain structure results in a narrow stretching process window, and its precision requirements for molding processes are far higher than those of conventional PET films, requiring professional equipment to support laboratory research and process optimization.

The FOCI-10 Film Biaxial Stretching Tester developed by  POTOP Co., Ltd. is specially designed for R&D of high-performance films and perfectly adapts to the process characteristics of PEN films. Equipped with an independent temperature control system for upper and lower ovens, the equipment achieves a temperature control accuracy of ±3℃, which can accurately construct the gradient temperature field required for PEN stretching and effectively avoid film rupture and wrinkles caused by local temperature differences.

In addition, the tester supports free switching between simultaneous and sequential stretching modes, with a precisely adjustable stretching speed ranging from 0 to 500 mm/s, flexibly meeting different process requirements for the orderly orientation of PEN molecular chains.



In practical verification, using a 0.55 mm PEN base film as raw material, after 240 seconds of preheating, simultaneous stretching was performed at 190℃ with a stretching ratio of 5.0×. The formed film shows a thickness uniformity deviation of ≤3%, with a flat surface and uniform thickness. The real-time data acquisition system of the equipment can fully record key parameters such as stretching force, temperature and displacement, and automatically generate reports, providing accurate data support for process iteration.
